Witnesses have said the incident involving a single male was not an explosion as first reported, but that he had been taken to hospital with significant burns to much of his body.

One person is in hospital and a crime scene established after what was first reported by authorities as an explosion at the Eden golf course
Fire and Rescue personnel as well as police are attending the Eden Gardens Country Club Golf Course, Friday, May 25, from where an emergency call to Triple-Zero (000) was made this morning.
NSW Fire and Rescue duty commander Alan Gerrard confirmed one person had been taken to hospital.
Police investigations will continue.
