The Tigers claimed a 2-0 win over the Pambula Penguins in first grade after an energetic battle through the middle.
Earlier, the Tigresses had claimed a convincing 6-0 result over the Penguinettes in a second-half stunner with four goals going to the visiting Wolumla outfit.
In the women’s clash, the hosts were left frantically trying to smother their own goal box as Janet King, Emma Kettle and Tayla Wilson consistently brought play forward from the midfield.
Annalisse Reed, Astyn Friend were able to make some counter-attacking runs, but a majority of play fell on the Pambula back line.
Forward momentum proved too much as King and Kirsty McPaul both scored doubles.
Meanwhile, the first grade men’s was well-fought, but Wolumla were a little too strong, winning the ball in the middle and pushing play up the flanks through Tom Adams, Tim Hodgkin, Jayden Brown and Jarrod Dewberry.
Pambula’s veteran defender Pat Wilson had to be sidelined after a head knock had him bleeding from the head.
It was a harsh blow to the Pambula defense that had been strong, particularly in the air with dominant header contests.
The Pambula keeper had also proved pivotal with some excellent saves to keep the score quiet, while Wolumla keeper Ross Oldham was also key in deterring Pambula’s attack with good saves and long reach from goal kicks easily clearing the half.
