The regular Eden Cash Mob decided this month it would spread the ‘shop local’ love to Tathra as a way to support the town in recovery mode following the March 18 bushfire.
Organiser Tracey Campbell said Eden’s mob usually numbers 20 or more and has been as high as 50.
This time around they will be joined by the mobbers from Merimbula, with organiser Janita Fernando “thinking positive” and hoping for at least 100 people to join in the Tathra boost.
Cash mobs support local retailers by spending money at local small businesses.
On Saturday, May 5, mobbers will visit two shops in Tathra, spending at least $20 in each, before heading to grab a coffee and morning tea at a local cafe.
Ms Fernando said she would also be encouraging cash mobbers to stay in town and spread their economic boost even wider on the day.
Everyone is invited to join in, bring friends and spread the word.
Meet outside the Tathra Police Station at 10am on Saturday, May 5.
