They are all members of Compassionate Friends, a worldwide non-religious not-for-profit organisation for those who have suffered the ultimate loss - the death of a child.
Each year at this time the Bega Valley Chapter of Compassionate Friends holds a special get together in the Bega Red Cross Rooms (Church St) to provide a safe confidential environment to offer comfort and strength.
It is a place to unburden, share the sorrow and lighten the load no matter how long ago your child died.
Compassionate Friends is a support group that does not offer counselling but does offer friendship, understanding and hope for those struggling with immense loss.
At other times during the year our members meet for social outings and coffee mornings.
Monday night's meeting, April 30 at 7pm, is only open to family members - parents, siblings and grandparents who have suffered the loss of a child.
