Lake St path options
I prefer Option B, but in any case, I can't understand how either A or B should cost so much. Option A is essentially just closing off one lane of an existing road and converting the other to a pedestrian walkway. How does that cost $2M?! And a $5M cantilevered walkway? Who does these costings? No wonder we can't have nice things.
Kate Smith
Option B is the plan that our community and tourists deserve. This will be a long term piece of infrastructure that I don’t want to look back at in 20 years and think, we could have done that better. Darrel Dobson’s vision will add more character to our town and utilise our natural beauty.

The canopy walk and viewing platforms would be an awesome attraction for tourists and locals alike - just do it in stages as the funding is available. One way traffic along there would be an absolute drag to access Bar Beach and the Wharf...and it would have quite an impact on traffic through residential areas on Long Point.
Lynne Koerbin
I think Option A is the best. The one way system is the safest. It’s a tricky road at the best of times with all the hidden corners.

Here's a thought - ask Team Rubicon Australia to look at the options, come up with suggestions and give them the 2 mill. Bet they could do it.
