There was that time he paid out Karl Stefanovic on Today. Or when he Hard Chatted with Sophie Monk and accidentally started a new season of the Bachelorette.
One journalist even claimed that at the mythical Comedy Olympics, Gleeson could “take on hecklers for Australia”. Nobody is off-limits when Tom Gleeson is in the room.
Gleeson's bespoke game show Hard Quiz has been a ratings smash, consistently winning its time slot.
Contestants have been lining up to be roasted by Tom in the hope of heading home with a big brass mug and audiences have been loving it.
The success of Hard Quiz was borne out of Gleeson's killer stand-up shows, no-one is better on their feet or revels more in the chance to spar with the audience.
This love of “crowd work” was the inspiration for Hard Quiz and one of the many reasons that his shows consistently sell out.
Gleeson is no stranger to the Far South Coast, with his father a resident at Imlay House Aged Care Service in Pambula. He had a great time early last year as the celebrity host of a games afternoon with residents.
