Ms Smith always felt a sense of achievement seeing her works published, as she edges towards 95 years-old she said “my crosswords are short stories.”
“I think I will die with a pen in my hand,” she said.
Although Ms Smith is not as mobile as she once was, her mind is filled with creativity and passion for writing which she continues to practice every day.
The gift of writing has been a major part of her life. Published books of Ms Smith’s include You and I, Journey into Love and most recently A Fragment of Time.
Ms Smith is an observer of people, her ideas spark through a sense of fascination.
“I find people fascinating, my ideas come from phrases someone might say or from people who don’t quite fit in,” she said.
Ms Smith is looking forward to reuniting with family and friends to celebrate her achievements.
