That’s why the upcoming South Coast Wedding Expo and South Coast Weddings magazine are perfect for couples looking for a one-stop-shop for all their bridal needs.
With its stunning scenery and affordable venues and services, the South Coast is a sought-after wedding destination.
The South Coast Wedding Expo is the ideal event to get ideas, make contact with local providers and enjoy the bridal buzz.
It will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 11am until 4pm at Corrigans Cove Resort, 204 Beach Road, Batehaven.
The beautiful South Coast Weddings magazine, featuring local providers and real weddings, will be available at the event.
It will also be published online and in print from early April, from the Bay Post and Merimbula News, and available from local suppliers.
Expo organiser Lucy Cartwright said the venue would host between 30 to 40 stallholders, covering everything needed to hold a wedding on the beautiful South Coast.
“We will have everything from venues and entertainment, to some really cool ideas for event planning and styling,” she said.
[Couples] want a celebration that reflects who they are and we think we can help them find what they are looking for at our expo.

“We will have celebrants, makeup artists, even fitness experts for those wanting to get in shape for their big day.”
In a nod to wedding attire of years’ past, the resort would like to run a brides through the ages fashion parade.
“I’d love to hear from anyone with a wedding dress in the cupboard that could be modelled on the day.”
If you’d love to see your gown get some rewear, but don’t want to model it yourself, that can also be arranged.
Corrigans Cove Resort is working in partnership with Fairfax Media to revive this hugely popular event.
“We want to showcase all the South Coast has to offer as a wedding destination and make it as easy as possible for couples to plan their perfect day,” Lucy said.
“Everyone is so time-poor these days, having a one-stop-shop that brings all the elements of a wedding together just makes sense.”
Lucy said the biggest trend in weddings she had noticed was couples simply making the day their own.
“Couples no longer feel like they have to fit the mould in terms of their wedding day,” she said.
“Couples come in all shapes, sizes and genders and they love to be able to reflect their individuality. They want a celebration that reflects who they are and we think we can help them find what they are looking for at our expo.”

To make the most of the expo, Lucy suggested people come early and enjoy the day.
“Make sure you talk to our vendors about what they can offer and don’t be afraid to ask questions. We are here to help,” she said.
Corrigan Cove Resort is a small, select venue that caters for intimate weddings, hosting around four each year.
“One of the things people love about getting married at Corrigans is that they can book out the whole resort and have all their loved ones around them,” Lucy said.
“They don't have to worry about transport or the logistics of getting everyone home at the end of the night.”
Her advice for couples getting married is to enjoy the process.
“Weddings should be fun,” Lucy said.
“If you find something is stressing you out, out-source it if you can. And don't put pressure on yourselves by breaking the budget. The wedding day is just the start of your life together.”
