The exhibition is entitled No Paintings Here! because neither artist works with paint.
Pauline Cantwell is from Tura Beach and said she had only been painting for about 10 years.
She works in pastels and although the exhibition is her first, it is unlikely to be her last given that one of her pieces 'Chillin' Out' sold on the opening evening and a limited edition archival quality print run is being planned.
Peter Tucker is a long-term resident and lives in Merimbula. An experienced artist, Peter has exhibited before and has been drawing “for many years”.
Using coloured pencils, a medium not seen a lot, he creates intricate and playful artworks with more than just a touch of fantasy.
Unable to build up his picture by layers as an oil painter might, Peter must carefully sketch everything out and painstakingly fill in the gaps.
The works can be seen during March at Artessence, Toalla Street, Pambula.
