The Merimbula Special Events Committee sparked some curiosity this week with a Monday night Facebook post of a mini construction site and the cryptic comment “What’s going on here? #anotherspecialeventscommitteeproject”. The committee, along with the council, are about to officially announce a joint project that will see eight new drinking fountains and refill stations installed across key locations in Merimbula and Pambula. The stations will promote “reduce, reuse and recycle” while also complementing local fitness trails.
