Merimbula stage one students headed down to Spencer Park where they buzzed around the grass clearing the park of rubbish. Stage two and three took to streets around town after lunchtime to take part in the clean up.
Pambula students strolled the streets picking up bits of plastic and tossed about rubbish. Stage one kids kept to the school grounds, forming a line finding tiny bits of rubbish that caught their eye.
The official date for Clean up Australia Day is on Sunday 4.
For those interested in helping clean up our beautiful town, grab a plastic bag, put on some gloves and meet either at the Merimbula Visitor Information Centre or Merimbula McDonald's at 10am to help in the combined clean up until 12pm.
