Archer and Flynn Whitby are two under-twelve champions of Pambula Surf Lifesaving Club who will be competing in the beach sprint and beach flags events as well as the inaugural 1000m Beach run event.
Mother Esther Whitby said the boys are very competitive, hoping to make the finals on Sunday.
“They are extremely competitive kids, although not competitive against one another which is unusual,” she said.
“They definitely motivate each other, they want to see each other do well ”
At a local level Flynn’s strengths are in the flag events whilst Archer pumps across the sand in the beach runs.
At a state level the competition gets tough with over 200 competitors in their age group.
Results to come.
