Event coordinator Dot Holmes was happy with the days success of raising more than $10,000.
“All of the money raised stays local in the Bega Valley Shire helping people or their families who have been diagnosed with cancer,” she said.
The lunch seated 106 people who enjoyed live entertainment and a presentation by Lynne Koerben on the South East Regional Carers Accommodation.

“The weather didn’t hamper us at all, the band was able to play outside. Andy O’Donnell provided live music throughout the function and the auction went off really well, Stewart Smith was the auctioneer he did a wonderful job of keeping things moving,” Ms Holmes said.
Can Assist deliver morning teas to business houses in Bega as well as supporting the community by giving $5000 raised by volunteers each month.
Ms Holmes thanked all of the business houses who donated to the auction as well as those who participated.
