Batting first, Eden had set a target of 212 runs, but the Bluedogs fell short, finishing their innings on just 112 runs.
The Bluedogs had a solid open and a good little tail order chase, but dropped too many cheap wickets in the middle to fall short of Eden’s target.
Again it Rob Stevenson providing the standout performance at the crease for the Eden outfit, knocking a team best of 61.
It provided the backbone for Eden’s innings after opener Drew Mudaliar was done in for a duck by a Josh Hammond catch.
However, the top order for Eden quickly got a good result brewing with Patrick Kearney building to 26 runs, while Martin Butchers scored 19.
Tyrone Thomas also put his name on 34 runs as the visitors worked through the innings, building to finish on 212.
Lewis Hopkins dominated with the ball, taking four wickets for the Pambula outfit, while Joel Bond secured a pair.
Gabriel Walker led Pambula’s batting effort with 27 runs, but a slew of cheap wickets through the middle kept the Bluedogs out of reach.
Josh Hammond was sitting on 10 runs before he was caught behind by Stevenson.
Fellow opener Ethan Adams fared better with a 26-run haul, but was returned to the sheds by a Toby Timms catch.
Then a pair of ducks and a series of single-figure wickets all but gifted Eden the result as Pambula’s batting attack flailed until the tail end.
Bond added 17 after Walker’s good effort, but it was only enough to get the Bluedogs rounding 112 runs at the death of the innings.
In Merimbula’s match against the South Euro Pirates, it was openers Brendan Daley and Matt Lawson setting the stage with 35 and 51 runs respectively.
The rest of the Merimbula order batted steadily, but couldn’t match the pair as the visitors finished the inings at 7/155.
Despite a 47-run opener from Alexander Filmer-Smith, the Pirates were too well contained by the Merimbula bowling attack.
Veteran Dean Friskin provided the second best result with 28 runs, but too many wickets went cheaply as the Pirates batted out their 40 overs to finish on 7/146.
On Saturday the Bluedogs will face the Pirates in Dalmeny, while the Knights play host to Bermagui at Berrambool Oval.
Play is from 1pm on Saturday for both games.
