Nick has shown this promise for some time now and this reward will give Nick some confidence to reduce his handicap and go to a new level from here, well done Nick not only winning your grade but being the overall winner of the day.
The other successful grade winners were Ray Smith. Mark Prosser and Martin Fraser. The unlucky player was our newly elected vice-captain Ian Macartney who returned a fine 43 points to be defeated on a countback by Mark for the B grade trophy
Saturday down the line ball winners went to 37 points and the lucky winner of the Sails real estate sponsored golden shot worth a tidy sum of $236 was Paul Welsford who hit one to 238 c on the 17th hole.
This coming Sunday the fourteenth we are hosting in conjunction with Sapphire Sounds a concert on the green.The main attraction will be the well renowned Mental as Anything as well as any many other attractions.
Back to the golf last Wednesday saw a great field of 181 competing for the spoils and after many count-backs a four way tie was decided in the favour of Nick Karanzoulis. The unlucky players on this occasion were Brad Ross David Hall and Rob Pritchard who were the respective grade winners all on plus 3.The ball winners all scored square or better. Eden visitor Ngatiwai Hetaraka went home with $264 from the golden shot.
