The NSW District Cricket Association (DCA) was started in 1903 and is regarded as the premier representative cricket competition in the state. It brings together players from across 40 associations to compete for the Under 15 EG Weblin Shield.
Tom was incredibly consistent with the bat, averaging just under 50, and capped off a stellar season with the prestigious honor of being the leading run scorer in the competition.
Tom has been a member of the ACT Emerging Comets team that contests the NSW DCA competition for the past four years. The talented young player’s contribution of 244 runs for the season guided his team into the finals for the first time.
Tom is also a member Cricket NSW/ACT Southern Zone Academy program along with other locals Jack Allen and Zak Keogh. Tom has had a busy representative season, recently taking part in the Under 18 Jeffrey Cup carnival in Queanbeyan.
The 14-year-old is a member of the Merimbula first division team as a handy batsman and wicketkeeper and credits much of his success to the coaching and support gained at the Knights.
Tom is now looking forward to the remainder of the FSCCA season and contributing to the Knights success, on the path towards finals.
