Amber Little has received a Best Director nomination while Sandy Glass has received a nomination for Best Actor in a Featured Role.
Sandy played Earl Brother Boy in the black comedy about Texan white trash and their struggles to come to terms with homosexual family members.
It is Amber’s second nomination for Best Director, the previous one being for Moonlight and Magnolias in 2015.
“I’m excited because there was always a bit of hesitation doing a play like this here but the audience loved it,” Amber said.
“It’s so nice to be recognised and to be in the mix,” Amber added.
The CAT Awards will take place in Canberra in February.
