The Candelo Craft Group has delivered a huge donation of toys, and Merimbula Evening VIEW Club members have been busy knitting rugs and baby blankets and collecting toiletries and children's needs, which will all add joy for Christmas at the Bega Refuge Centre.
The Made by U 9 o'clock Gym Girls have been busy filling new carry bags with toiletries for the ladies who may need to be at the Bega Refuge Centre due to domestic violence in their lives.
Aglow
Merimbula Aglow invites you to share in a Christmas celebration at our last meeting of the year on Thursday, December 7, at 10am at the RSL Merimbula, cost $7. Aglow is a Christian organisation and welcomes everyone from all backgrounds.
We are privileged to have Captain Deb Parsons from Salvation Army Bega. Hear her inspiring message and delight in singing Christmas carols with music by Frances Clear. Enjoy a Christmassy morning tea and fellowship as we joyfully celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Contact Shanne Fanning 6495 2220. Aglow Merimbula will be in recess until February 1. Garden Club
Members of the Merimbula and District Garden Club enjoyed an outing to the Cobargo Farm for a picnic lunch and a guided tour of the garden with beautiful roses on display and lots of vegetables enjoying the recent rain.
On their way home members visited Bega's Tulgeen "Riverview Nursery" and all were impressed by the wonderful range and choice of plants and shrubs for sale, lovingly cared for by the members of Tulgeen Disability Gardening and Maintencce Services and staff.

Evans Park
The committee at Evans Park, Kalaru is holding a Family Fun Day on Sunday, December 10 from 1pm.
Bring along your family and friends and enjoy the jumping castle, The Great Zamboni, face painting and many games for the kids. Plus there will be a special guest appearance from Santa. There’s a sausage sizzle and a huge raffle drawn on the day.
Cost is $5 per person or just $20 for a family of four or more.
