Dress code for the evening is to wear something red on your head. Meetings for 2018 start on Tuesday, February 6. This will also be an AGM. Perhaps you could consider standing for the committee. Please contact Barb on 6495 1642 by Friday, December 1 if you wish to attend the Christmas meeting.
PAMBULA MEN’S SHED MEETING
A general meeting will be held at the Pambula Men’s Shed on Saturday, December 2 at Merimbola Street, Pambula. Doors will open at 8am for an 8.30am start for the breakfast meeting, which is a chance for attendees to express their ideas. The informal meeting will let all members and friends know how the shed is progressing and to let members see the equipment that has generously been donated.
A $5 donation will be received on arrival for breakfast and a fill-in-your-interest form. The president will speak at 8.45am about the progress of the shed, before a Q&A on what members want from their shed before closing about 9.30am. Bacon or sausage and egg rolls, coffee and tea will be served afterwards before the shed is closed at noon. For more information contact John Hanley on 0400 579 218.
EAST COAST CLEAN CANCELLED
The East Coast Spring Clean scheduled for Merimbula on Friday, December 1 has been cancelled.
Merimbula Visitor Information Centre tourism manager Chris Nicholls said a number of factors, including low potential turnout of volunteers to help on the day and the proximity to Christmas means the event has been postponed for at least six months.
The information centre will meet with organisers in March to plan it properly and work with the service clubs, RFS, council and the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce to ensure a great event.
