Attendees are advised to assemble at 10.45 am, while the community is reminded that Beach Street will be closed from 10.30am to noon for the service.
Unlike previous years, poppies will not be available to purchase due to an inquiry into RSL NSW’s charitable fundraising practices.
The Merimbula RSL sub-branch has apologised to the community, saying the decision is outside its control.
Poppies will be handed out for free at the RSL Club on Friday night and at Saturday’s service.
Meanwhile the sub-branch is looking for more members to join the Panorama Day Club on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 1.30 pm. Cost is $10 per member, including morning tea and lunch.
