Last year's movie night raised over $1200 for the school and this year the P&C is hoping to raise $2000. There will be raffles with hundreds of dollars worth of prizes donated by local businesses and raffle tickets can be purchased from E2B Phone Repair, Eden Bedding and Furniture Superstore or on the night.
Gates open at 6.30pm when stalls will be serving hot and cold food and drinks.
At 7pm there will be a Costume Competition and the audience is encouraged to dress up as their favourite movie character to be in the running for great prizes.
From 7.15pm, short films from Footprint Theatre Film School students and the YoofTube Youth Film Festival will be screened, showcasing the finest work from young filmmakers in the Bega Valley.
At 8.00pm the main feature will be the comedy RED DOG: TRUE BLUE - the iconic story of family, friendship and adventure between a young boy and a scrappy one-of-a-kind dog that would grow up to become an Australian legend.
This is a family-friendly alcohol-free, drug-free and smoke-free event on school grounds and Twofold Security Services are donating their services on the night.
In the event of wet or windy weather, the event will be held in the school's hall.
Earlybird online tickets are available from www.trybooking.com/SLDS and cost $20 for a family of 4, $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Any remaining tickets will be available on the night for $25/$12/$7. Children under 5 are free, however parents should note that films are rated PG.
Campbell Page is donating the use of their minibus to transport young people to and from the event within Eden. Details on pickup times and locations will be available at www.facebook.com/EdenMarineHighMovieNight a few days before the event.
The 6 x 3 metre giant movie screen hire is being sponsored by Campbell Page, E2B Phone Repair, Chris Wilson Real Estate, Eden Gas & Gear, Eden Bedding & Furniture Superstore and Eden Buses.
