A man has been taken to hospital with what’s believed to be a suspected broken leg after a two-car crash at Tathra Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called out to the scene at Thatcher’s Flat around 4pm where two vehicles had collided before hitting a power pole, which cut power supply to the town.
The scene was attended by police, ambulance and Rural Fire Service personnel. Andy Poole Drive, at the base of the hill was closed in both directions as they assisted the motorists.
Traffic is being diverted around the scene via Dilkera Rd.
It’s not known at this stage what caused the crash, but it’s understood the male driver of a black Nissan Navara ute has been taken to hospital, while an elderly couple who were driving in a white Hyundai rental car escaped uninjured.
