Despite the big hitting of Ian Smith, who finished 110 not out, Wolumla managed to chase down the visitors’ target of 171 for victory in the 25th over.
Run outs proved costly for Eden-Mallacoota, with Paul Preston (21 runs) and Morgan Thornton (17) making good starts but losing their wicket through mishaps between the wickets.
Aiden Bailey claimed both openers to finish his right overs at 2/15, Jarrod Dewberry (3/3) cleaned up the middle order as Eden-Mallacoota finished 8/170 after 40 overs.
Like Bailey, Daniel Preston had the Wolumla openers out for low scores before Ross Oldham (78 runs) and Bailey 58 not out) steadied the run chase.
Preston (2/29) and Paul Preston (2/21) were the best of the visiting bowlers, while Connor Cassie and Bruce Pascoe each claimed a wicket.
Wolumla will look to continue its winning ways when it travels to Kameruka, while Eden-Mallacoota will enjoy the bye.
