“It is now fully asphalted but there are myriad little things that have to be finished off. The electricians will be back next week to connect the traffic lights and quadrant 1 (outside the jewellers) will be close to 100 per cent finished by the end of next week,” he said.

The quadrant 2 garden bed (next to Sundeck) will go in next week as well.

A temporary pathway was expected to be back in action on the western side of Market Street by Wednesday morning to stop people walking next to traffic.
