Officials said the tournament was fast approaching with play to be held over three days from September 30 to October 2.
“Entries are open online now and will close on September 15th at www.tennis.com.au/tathrabeach,” a spokesman for the event said.
The tournament didn’t run as usual last year, but instead featured a children’s try day and short-format tournament.
However, play is going back to its roots, with officials saying it had more than 50 years of history and the committee was hoping to see a good turnout of locals as well as regular visitors from Canberra, Cooma, Batemans Bay and the surrounding areas.
“The weekend caters for all ages and abilities with opens, B and C grades including men’s women’s singles and doubles alongside the junior draws,” the spokesman said.
There are cash prizes for the winners and runners-up across each of the divisions.
The spokesman said the weekend is all about fun, with an emphasis on socialising with a canteen running for lunches as well as morning and afternoon tea.
The club will also host a sausage sizzle and get together at the Tathra Beach Country Club on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons for both players and spectators to enjoy.
“Come along and enjoy a game or two on the courts, while catching up with fellow tennis players,” the spokesman said.
