Blues-folk singer Kim Churchill made an impromptu visit to Bega Valley Public School on Monday, even giving the children a three-song performance.

BVPS principal Carolyn Nugent said the pupils, all part of the school’s support unit, had a great time.
“Kim really engaged with the kids about his career and music – they were really interested,” Ms Nugent said.
The impromptu visit was part of a quick visit to his home town of Merimbula on the weekend before heading north to Wollongong and beyond for an upcoming tour.
He didn’t need much coaxing to drop in to the support unit as he travelled through town.
“I thought it was a really kind gesture,” Ms Nugent said.
“It was a great experience.”
