Following a recent 12-month hiatus from the heavy touring schedule he’s become renowned for, the ‘Midnight in Motion’ tour marks the beginning of a new chapter in Kirk’s career and will see him showcasing new material in primarily intimate venues.
Kirk is currently working on expanding his already exciting and critically acclaimed one-man show which has landed him at some of the country’s most iconic festivals including Bluesfest, Woodford, Falls and Port Fairy in recent years.
Shaun’s profile and recognition as a talented performer has steadily grown, supporting artists such as Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Allen Stone, JJ Grey & MOFRO, Big Bill Morganfield (son of the late great Muddy Waters), Diesel, Ash Grunwald and Mia Dyson.
The iTunes Chart topper has recently been busy in the studio with ARIA award winning producers Joel Quatermain (Eskimo Joe, Meg Mac, Little Birdy) and Jan Skubiszewski (John Butler Trio, Cat Empire, Dan Sultan).
Kirk has come a long way since his debut release in 2010, earning him accolades such as “one of the most explosive solo acts Australia has to offer” and “one of the finest blues voices this country has ever heard”.
He was voted the ‘Youth People’s Choice Award’ at the 2012 Blues at Bridgetown Festival, as well as winning the public’s vote for ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2013 St Kilda Festival.
