Archbishop Prowse will leave St Christopher’s Cathedral at 8.30am on Saturday and travel to Eden where the Catholic Parish of Pambula will provide lunch.
Pambula parish representatives said they are very excited to be involved with the pilgrimage and encourage all Sapphire Coast residents to join.
It is hoped that pilgrims will come from various towns and parishes. Those from the local area are encouraged to park a distance from the church, for example the Aussie Rules sports grounds, and walk the final part of the journey on foot.
Mass will take place at 12noon followed by lunch and a couple of talks including one by John Liston about Mary Mackillop’s ties to the area.
