Sapphire Coast Bridge Club
The Sapphire Coast Bridge Club had fun celebrating Christmas in July. The delicious luncheon was organised by the committee members and included baked, glazed ham on the bone, roast turkey and vegetables, and trifle for dessert. The luncheon was held in the club rooms at Shop 9 Tura Beach Village shopping centre, and was enjoyed by 50 members. After the eating and merriment was finished, it was down to an afternoon of Bridge Competition play.

AGLOW Merimbula
AGLOW Merimbula’s next meeting will be one with a difference, as we invite you to view a short film from the 40 Indigenous Stories project. Come and hear the testimony of Bill Towns, a descendent from the Kamilaroi Aboriginal tribe, who resides in Cargo, as he speaks of how Jesus’s love transformed his life. A God-inspired horse ride across Australia from Geraldton, WA to Moruya has been an integral part of his personal journey of healing and restoration. Now Bill is planning a 600km ride from Pilliga (where he was born) into Canberra to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Beersheba Cavalry Charge by ANZACS on 31 October 1917. This charge by Light horsemen - including Indigenous and other Australians led to the liberation of Jerusalem.
Be inspired by Bill’s miraculous story of freedom and redemption. All are welcome at our monthly Aglow Meetings and we look forward to welcoming you. Thursday, August 3 at Merimbula RSL. Morning tea at 10am, entrance $7. Further Enquiries: Shanne Fanning 6495 2220
