They last appeared in the area five years ago, singing to a sell-out crowd.
The Sydney Welsh Choir was formed in 1978 by a core of Welsh-born singers. Its members share a love of singing and the bond created by performing an extensive repertoire of music that includes a mixture of Welsh songs and hymns, popular excerpts from the classics and timeless folk songs from around the world.
For this concert, the choir will include on their program beloved pieces such as Irish Eyes, Delilah, My Heart Will Go, Let the River Run and Lloyd Webber’s Love Changes Everything as well as some evocative Welsh pieces such as All Through the Night.
The choir will perform from 2.30pm on April 16 at the Wolumla Hall, Wolumla. Tickets are $25 with accompanied children under 16 free. A Welsh-style afternoon tea will be provided after the concert.
