Thousands of people filled the slope at Merimbula’s Magic Mountain to listen to talented local singers, church groups, school choirs and well-known musicians perform popular Carols at the annual Carols By Candlelight on Friday, December 16.
Despite early threats of rain more than 1000 people donned their Christmas attire and their Christmas smiles to enjoy a fun night out.
Members of the Pambula Merimbula Lions Club – who organised the event and sold out at their barbecue – expressed their happiness with the huge turn out and the family friendly atmosphere.
To the absolute delight of all the kids in attendance Santa took time out of his busy December schedule to not only make an appearance but to also greet, hug and give lollies to every single child that wanted to see him.
