Police from the Far South Coast Local Area Command (LAC) are targeting regional road users in a two-day blitz this weekend.
Operation Chrome 2 starts at 12.01am on Friday and ends at 11.59pm on Saturday.
During the operation, officers from Far South Coast LAC, with assistance from the Traffic and Highway Patrol will be out in force, targeting road users on main and regional roads.
Officers will be conducting random breath and drug testing, specifically targeting remote areas and back roads.
General traffic compliance including speeding, using mobile phones, not wearing seatbelts, and other dangerous behaviours throughout area will also be targeted.
During the operation, officers will also be engaging with the community in order to alert the public about risky driver behaviour.
