Repairs will be carried out on sections of the Merimbula and Pambula cycleways commenced on Monday and will continue through to Friday, December 9 between 7am and 4pm, excluding weekends and weather permitting.
Scheduled inspections have identified several sections requiring immediate repair. The sections are to be removed and reinstated with a 2.5 metre wide reinforced concrete pathway to improve longevity of the cycleway. A tree root barrier will also be installed to prevent future failures.
Council urges pedestrians and cyclists to take particular care when using the cycleway and to ensure all signage and instruction is obeyed.
