Bartenders at Merimbula’s Lakeview Hotel are showing their U.G.L.Y. side to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
In October, bartenders will sport the attention-grabbing ‘I’m U.G.L.Y., I need help!’ t-shirt to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation by demonstrating their ‘Understanding Generous Likeable You’.
The U.G.L.Y. fundraiser is pivotal in enabling the Leukaemia Foundation to provide its home-away-from-home accommodation service for people who are forced to relocate from regional areas to access treatments only available in metropolitan facilities.
Lakeview Hotel manager Brent Johnston said they’re always looking at ways to help the community and said this is perfect as relocating for treatment is not uncommon for people on the coast.
