This weekend the Pambula Motorfest will celebrate its fifth birthday and it looks like it is going to be a birthday worth remembering.
One of the event organisers Scott Whatman said once again there will be plenty on offer, not just for the rev heads but also for people who aren’t even remotely interested in cars.
“There will be reptiles to hold, jumping castles, face painting, all the emergency services and a huge variety of food,” Mr Whatman said.
A huge priority for the Pambula Motorfest is to help the community. Mr Whatman said they do this by donating profits back to the community and also by promoting tourism in the area.
“We hold the Motorfest on this weekend in September because it is the start of the school holidays for NSW and ACT but it is also right in the middle of the holidays for Victoria,” he said.
“Bringing people into the area to enjoy our piece of paradise is what it’s all about.”
All the usual favourites of the Motorfest have returned including the huge Swap Meet, the show’n’shine, lawnmower races, the Flair Riders showing off their incredible tricks and much much more.
After last year’s two day event the Motorfest committee decided it would be better for all involved to return it back to a one day event with Motorfest secretary stating that it will better suit the distance visitors who need to get home.
Doors will be open on Saturday, September 24 from 10am until 5pm. On Sunday all Motorfest vehicles will cruise through town, leaving the Sportsgrounds at 10am and travelling to Short Point and back for all to see.
