Strong winds caused power outages affecting 1,023 customers in the Eden area on Monday night. Essential Energy detected a fault at 8.30pm and isolated supply to the area. Crews from Bega identified the cause as a tree contacting powerlines in Reservoir Road, Eden. Supply was restored at 2.36am once repairs had been completed. Local crews also responded to a number of smaller outages in Merimbula, Nethercote, Millingandi and Wolumla.
