In the lead up to an Anzac weekend local derby, the Merimbula Diggers Aussie rules club is welcoming a new major sponsor to the club.
Goodyear Autocare has signed on to support the club and officials thanked Kristie and Andrew Tsakiris for their support in the 2016 season.
“Not only do we urge all of our players and supporters to support local businesses but also Merimbula and surrounding areas as well,” a club spokesman said.
After a holiday bye, the Diggers will be back on the park to face off in a grand final rematch with the Pambula Panthers this Saturday.
After a shock loss to the Bega-Tathra combine last week, the Panthers will be out for redemption and will face a big order in the Merimbula Diggers.
It could be the match of the round with these two powerhouse clubs meeting for a rematch.
The Diggers will meet the Panthers at the Pambula Sporting Complex from 2.30pm for the senior clash.
