The Pambula Community Swimming Club’s summer season has come to an end, but the improvements made over the past five months were clearly evident at the club’s championship swims recently.
Officials from the club said a number of young swimmers had posted new personal best times and several even set state and country titles qualifying times in regular swims.
A presentation for the top three place getters at the championships will be held next Tuesday from 6pm. Ms Nemec said there would be a free sausage sizzle for the kids from 5.30pm. Parents are urged to take along a plate to share to help celebrate the success of the season.

“It has been a very successful season.” club president Violet Nemec said.“Many new members have registered, while some of the older swimmers have hung up their flippers.”
Former member Tiarne Pointon who previously qualified at state and country levels is now on board to help coach juniors.

With winter meets in preparation a number of swimmers were announced in achievement squads. Phoebe Miller has progressed to the target C squad.
Meanwhile Rosy Ryan, Jessie Campbell-Jones, Keira Hoyland, Kye Moore and Travis Nemec will join the D achievers squad.
E squad members are Hugh Campbell-Jones, Emily Walker and Dominic Nemec.
