Over the summer holidays Year 12 Eden Marine High School student Wally Samuels participated in the Honeywell Engineering Summer School in Sydney thanks to sponsorship from Pambula Rotary.
The aim of the school was to give interested science students a better understanding of engineering and the wide choice of areas they could choose to follow.
As part of the experience, tours were conducted of University of NSW, SITA Recycling Tip, the Richmond RAAF Base, UTS, Blue Scope Steel, UOW, a Nuclear Generator and University of Sydney.
From this experience Wally is considering applying for a Gap Year at ADFA in Canberra, followed by studies in an ADFA Mechanical Engineering degree.
