Magic Mountain is currently undertaking a number of renovations in preparation for what is hoped to be one of the Sapphire Coast’s biggest ever events.
International Magician of the Year Cosentino is heading to Magic Mountain for two spectacular shows this Easter.
To help accommodate Australia’s biggest selling live artist Magic Mountain is going through a number of small changes, which include the installation of a giant TV screen.
Rob Wright, one of the owners of Magic Mountain, said they are renovating the stage to ensure it fits in perfectly with Cosentino’s act.
“The upgrades to the stage have been designed in a way so that the stage will have the ability to be adjusted to fit a number of different acts in the future,” he said.
The current stage was built around five years ago and is used each year for Carols by Candlelight but the planned upgrades will make it more versatile for smaller acts.
“The stage is over 12 metres wide, which doesn’t suit everyone, the changes which includes the installation of curtains and wings will enable Magic Mountain to host more of these events.”
Cosentino’s visit to Merimbula is thanks to Far South Coast musician and promoter David Willis.
Mr Wright said the Magic Mountain owners are hoping Cosentino’s performance is the first of many collaborative events between Magic Mountain and David Willis.
Magic Mountain is also undergoing a number of simple landscaping improvements to allow for around 300 VIP seats, which again will be reusable for future events.
Tickets will be available for the VIP seats of people are able to bring their own chairs or picnic rugs to enjoy the show.
Cosentino is already regarded as this country's most successful magician, illusionist and escapologist, and in his upcoming show he will continue to push the boundaries of what's possible.
Mr Wright and Mr Willis both agreed that this is a night not to be missed.
On Easter Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27, the Magic Mountain gates open at 5.30pm.
Audiences will be entertained by young talent Lochie Marson, and popular local band The Figmentz, until Cosentino takes to the stage at 8.15pm.
Food and beverages will be served all through the night at this alcohol-free event.
