It was great surf this morning at Short Point Merimbula but only for the brave and fearless like Clancy Mills.

Towering surf at Short Point  this morning  brought spectators but few were brave enough to face the big ones. Clancy Mills was the only surfer out which comes as no surprise as this young man likes to rip into monster waves in some of the world's most remote locations. The  power of the  surf tore the leg rope from his board which sent it bouncing like a small toy through the surf. He retrieved it , came on shore, rejigged the rope and  was back  into it. It was all a bit big for News Weekly manager Grant Webster, who likes to have a regular surf before work. But he saw the potential for some great photos so dashed back to the office and grabbed the camera.
