On Saturday, April 5 around 200 people attended the 39th annual Far South Coast Legacy Debutante Ball which was held at the Merimbula RSL Club. The debutantes and their partners were presented to matron of honour, Denise Mynott and member for Bega, Andrew Constance before taking to the floor for the three formal dances that they had learnt in the weeks before the ball.

Kelly Murphy and Aiden Jones cut the cake and speeches were given by Georgia Parsons and Judith Tonkin. The flower girls were Lara Kellalea and Anastasia Budd and the page boy was Angus Budd.
Organiser, Pam Gordon has been involved with the debutantes ball for the last 14 years and said it was only possible with the support and backup of her team, Legacy president, Geoff Dove, dance teachers, Sam and Raymond McGovern, Ian Swann for suit fittings and hire, Derreck Phillistin and Jo Innes from the Merimbula RSL Club, photographer, Angi High, video maker James Coleman and Graham Lewis who provided the limo and music.
Mrs Gordon said it was a great night and enjoyed by everyone.
