Bundaberg or Bust – 3rd truckload for victims

Our local community has again showed its generosity and enormous heart by sponsoring a third truck of goods to provide flood relief for the victims of the recent Bundaberg flood crisis. The first and second trucks were so well received that Neville Bobbin, of Bobbin Transport, South Pambula decided to initiate a further truck to be sent to the devastated area.

This third truck of donated goods was packed on Saturday over four hours by Pambula Rotary Club members and Bradley Smith of Bobbin Transport. Pambula Rotary Community Service Director, Daryl Dobson, was very pleased with the quality of the donated furniture, white goods and linen etc. Justin Smith from Bobbin Transport was the driver for this third run to Bundaberg.

Mr Dobson thanks the following people who helped to sponsor this truck: W R  Devlin, M and M Andrews, Sapphire Blue Real Estate, RBS Morgans, Pambula Merimbula Lions Club, Rotary Club of Bega, Rotary Club of Merimbula, Brunning Family, C McMahon, M and L Jarvis, J Billingham, Bega Cheese, Larmer Pty Ltd, the people of Cobargo, and the Rotary Club of Pambula.

Over $140,000 of goods has been delivered to Bundaberg during the past month.

“Well done, Neville Bobbin, Daryl Dobson, the loading team, Justin Smith, and the donors and sponsors,” said Rosie Young president Rotary Club of Pambula Inc.
