An opportunity has become available for a highly motivated Groundskeepers to support the Racecourse and Facilities Operations Team in the delivery of superior quality racing surfaces, training facilities, grounds, and associated amenities at Morphettville.

Duties:

• Operating, maintaining, cleaning, inspecting, and adjusting turf machinery
• Performing routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial, and other surfaces
• Raceday duties including knocking back and crossing attendant tasks
• Applying fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides
• Supporting the Gardening Team in the planting and trimming of trees, sowing, planting, and cutting of grass, and the watering of gardens as directed
• Moving running rails and attending to other Raceday and Pre-Raceday requirements as directed

Requirements:

• Current drivers license and reliable car
• Both covid vaccinations
• White card (desirable)
• A recognised trade qualification in turf management or equivalent.
• Significant experience in turf management and/or horticulture
• Practical knowledge of WHS and its application in a variety of situations.
• The ability to work in positively, cooperatively, and productively in a team environment.
