Full job description

This large, complex organisation as a newly created role for a Access Contracts Advisor to play a key role in their exciting energy related projects.

As the Access Contracts Advisor, you will be required to provide essential advice and support to project sponsors to assist in the process of negotiating complex contracts for the provision of network access. Your contract negotiation and management will conclude commercial outcomes for multi-million dollar, highly complex infrastructure projects.

As part of delivering in your role you will need to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely management of contracts relating to major customer transmission connections.
  • Provide appropriate and robust commercial and legal advice for issues involving Access Solutions.
  • Influence regulatory policy development from a commercial perspective.
  • Develop and provide training on commercial and legal issues affecting Access Solutions.

You will ideally possess the following experience and attributes:

  • A comprehensive and broad understanding of risk, commercial and compliance management
  • A good understanding of operating within a regulatory framework
  • High level, demonstrable experience in complex contract and financial negotiations in an infrastructure environment
  • Ability to make objective and balanced recommendations when dealing with competing demands
  • Strong ability to prioritise competing demands and manage expectations appropriately
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent internal and external relationships at a senior level.
