Our annual Christmas Toy Drive is on again, collecting gifts for the less fortunate children and families in our region.
The Merimbula News Weekly is being graciously assisted in its collection this year by the Sapphire Coast Anglican College, as well as the Sapphire Coast Ulysses Club and local branches of the Salvation Army, Rotary and St Vincent de Paul.
Help make a difference to a child’s life this Christmas. We’re again calling on our generous community for donations of toys and gifts, suitable for children of all ages.
Leave them unwrapped and drop them into the News Weekly office on Monaro St, Bega District News office on the corner of Gipps and Carp Streets, or at the Anglican College. They will be distributed to families in need this Christmas via our local supporting charities, with all donated gifts staying in the shire.
Meanwhile, SCAC is preparing to host A Sapphire Christmas, a night of carols and entertainmentfor the entire community. It starts at 5.30pm on December 1 and is planned to be the district’s main Christmas carols event. More details to come.
