The reserve grade Panthers have claimed the minor premiership with a flawless season currently sitting undefeated clear of the opposition.
The team capped off its year with a win over Tathra on the weekend and will head into the finals as premiership favourites.
The Panthers will head to Narooma for the major semi-final to meet the Lions on their home soil next weekend.
Meanwhile, the senior Panthers capped off a return to impeccable form with a 120-point flogging of the Eden Whalers.
The hosts dispatched their visitors comfortably with the final tally sitting at 20-12-132 to 1-0-6.
Pambula piled on 34 points in the opening quarter, while the visitors were unable to post any shots at the goals through an outstanding middle performance.
Justin Dickson and Charlie Sheppard were outstanding for the home side, while Jake Taylor continued his dominance in front of the goal square with a five-goal haul to his name.
Club veteran Ian Smith chimed in well kicking three majors for the Panthers.
Corey Spink was the standout for the visitors as one of the only players able to contend possession and push any play forward for the Whalers.
Eden’s solitary goal came in the second quarter through Jordan Merkel, while the Panthers continued to ravage their guests on the scoreboard, booting a further three goals and a handful of behinds.
As the Whalers tired, the Panthers just mounted increasing pressure in the front lines, kicking five goals in the third quarter, but claiming seven majors in the final period.
The club neatly wrapped up second place on the competition ladder behind the Narooma Lions and will enjoy a week off before facing the Lions in the major semi-final.
The final round for the Panthers’ ladies was a different encounter entirely with Eden claiming the spoils 9-10-64 to 1-2-8.
Adriane Reardon and Chantel Gleeson had a good showing for the home side, but the Panthers just couldn’t match range and height with the tall Whalers’ ladies.
Tammy Whitford proved the danger player for the Whalers, constantly breaking free of the pack to run in open space and set momentum forward.
Despite the loss, the Panthers held on for third place and will meet the Narooma Lions in the minor semi-final this Saturday at Tathra’s Lawrence Park.
