WIRES Far South East treasurer Margaret Shaw and wombat coordinator Shari Lea thank Horizon Credit Union branch manager Jess Porter for the humidicrib.

WIRES Far South East branch recently received a donation of $300 from Horizon Credit Union which has been put towards the purchase of a humidicrib to be used for small joeys (including kangaroos; wallabies; wombats; koalas; gliders and possums), sick animals and small birds.

As carers are feeding small joeys at regular intervals including during the night the humidicrib is a blessing as it regulates the temperature and humidity and increases the chances of survival.

The animal and the carer benefit greatly and as the humidicribs are portable they can go from carer to carer as needed.

If anyone finds a sick; injured or orphaned native animal WIRES rescue 7 days a week; 365 days a year.  Please call 64954150 for one of our volunteers to attend.

If anyone would like to donate please send your donation to WIRES FSE, PO Box 1219, Bega NSW 2550.
