Held at the Pambula Merimbula Golf Club, the Merimbula and District Netball presentation night saw division winners and runners-up received their trophies while hardworking volunteers and parents were also thanked and recognised.
The club also awarded its Club Person of the Year which was given to Megan Wright, to a huge applause from attendees.
Megan Wright is a player herself, coaches the Net Set Go girls (despite not having any children playing in this age group), helps with the Junior girls and has also been the clubs secretary for the past four years.
Club president Kath Musgrove said she couldn’t think of a more deserving person.
“Megan represents everything I love about netball, she is a competitive and fair on the court and also does everything she can to see the sport grow and foster a love of the game in our junior girls,” Musgrove said.
The club will be holding its AGM on Monday, August 14 at 6.30pm at Club Sapphire. All are encouraged to attend.
