The students rehearsed for 15 weeks before they took to the stage, led by music teacher Hayley Fragnito.
All 63 Wolumla students were involved in the production. Ms Fragnito described their passion for the project as “inspirational”.
“They love it, they’re so enthusiastic. They’re just stoked to be involved in something that’s so much fun,” she said.
The performance came to life through the colours and creativity of the costumes.
“Our School Learning Support Officer Katherine Iacano, handmade pretty much all of the costumes,” said Ms Fragnito. “We also sourced props from Mogo Public School.”
The students created the rest of the costumes, including the animal puppetry.
